Sir Keir Starmer is expected to urge allies to deliver Ukrainian forces with more long-range missiles to hit enemy locations during discussions in Britain on Friday.

Sir Keir is set to welcome President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside the so-called "group of committed partners", including more than 20 of supporting nations who have agreed to grant Ukraine protection commitments once fighting stops is arranged.

The Ukrainian leader has been appealing for weeks for further extended-range systems from allied countries, a move that Russia has warned would escalate the hostilities.

The Prime Minister will press delegates to expand the delivery of long-range weapons following an effective operation on a chemical plant in Bryansk, Russia, using Britain-delivered Storm Shadow missiles.
