Trump Invites Loved Ones of Injured Military Personnel to White House
President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has asked the relatives of a National Guard member killed last week to visit the White House.
He added that he conversed with her family and they were âdevastatedâ.

Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a shooting on Wednesday in DC.
Her fellow service member, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in serious condition.

The president stated heâs proposed a visit to the White House for the families of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.
âI said: âWhen youâre ready, because thatâs a difficult moment, arrive at the White House. Weâre going to honor Sarah,â Trump addressed the press. âAnd similarly with Andrew, recover or not.â

Attendees gathered over the weekend at the high school in the state to remember Beckstrom.
Both she and Wolfe had been serving with the military unit as part of Trumpâs national effort to assist public safety in the capital.

She carried herself with quiet strength, a warm expression and a optimistic attitude that inspired those around her,â Hankins, the head of her previous school, informed the Associated Press. âShe was kind, compassionate and always willing to assist people.â

Law enforcement have accused a 29-year-old suspect with a charge of homicide and charges of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.
The event led the Trump administration to pause asylum processing and halt granting visas to possessors of passports from Afghanistan.

The airman, a resident of the city, began his service in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, per the AP.
He remains under medical supervision and is âbattling to surviveâ, West Virginia leader Patrick Morrisey stated on a news program.
