Uche Ignites Comfortable Crystal Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Missing star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal straight passage to the last 16, especially following a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This match provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second game in match.

After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
